In a day of political drama in Australia, the Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, has been ousted as head of the governing Liberal Party. The new leader, Malcolm Turnbull, will now become the country's prime minister. Mr Turnbull -- who was until Monday a member of Mr Abbott's government -- won a poll of Liberal members of parliament by 54 votes to 44. Mr Abbott had become unpopular among Australian voters, but his political demise came quickly. He began Monday by dismissing rumours of a leadership challenge. That materialised a few hours later, after which Mr Abbott called a snap election
